President & CEO

Byron Matthews leads Miller Heiman Group’s commitment to championing customer-management excellence throughout the customer life cycle and across the enterprise. His dedication to placing the customer at the core of everything gives Miller Heiman Group its expanded, holistic approach for developing, managing and sustaining long-term customer relationships. Before joining the organization, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Aflac, where he led more than 30,000 sales professionals across multiple channels. He also spent more than five years at Mercer as Global Sales Performance Business Practice Leader, where he grew revenue more than 40%.

Managing Director, Miller Heiman Group, ANZ

As Managing Director of Miller Heiman Group in Australia and New Zealand, Martin leads the sales and business operations based in Sydney, Australia. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business in the region, building our brand and helping customers service better and grow profitable revenue. He joined Miller Heiman in 2009 where he began his Sales Operations role, helping grow the indirect channel, increase average deal size, improve capability and productivity. In 2012 Martin was promoted to General Manager to oversee business operations, channel operations and client Engagement. Then in 2014, he became Managing Director supporting 3 successive years of double-digit growth. Educated in England, Martin moved to Australia in 2004 when an opportunity arose to open a branch office with UK based, Gladstone PLC. He spent 4 years building this business before joining Miller Heiman. He resides in Neutral Bay Sydney with his wife and two beautiful daughters.

Paul Earland

Director of Sales

Paul brings clients 20 years of experience helping organisations by running sales teams and managing key accounts across a number of multinational organisations in both Australia and the UK with a focus on achieving consistent long-term growth and increased market share via robust client relationship building and value addition at all stages of the sales cycle. Prior to Miller Heiman Group, he served in numerous sales roles for Diageo, British American Tobacco. He resides in Narrabeen, Sydney with his wife and two charming, athletic sons.


Yvonne James

Director of Customer Experience & Strategic Account Success

Yvonne is an experienced Learning/HR/OD practitioner with deep  expertise in sales + service transformation, capability development, leadership, culture and change management from both a client perspective (as an executive at Qantas and CSC) and as a facilitator/consultant (Synergy, Achieve Global, Rogen, Huthwaite and TMI). She brings her experiences as President of the Australian Customer Service Association, executive leadership and extensive customer experience design and development to the training room to impact capability development and change. As an executive for CSC Yvonne led the structural change to transform the business to execute on growth and service delivery in a highly competitive and complex environment, and a cultural program to develop organisational change capability and customer intimate service delivery. Yvonne holds a Master of Commerce (Marketing & Organisational Behaviour), Bachelor of Arts, and additional certifications in Adult Learning, HR, Project Management and Computer Programming.

Sarah Mortimer

Director of Sales Operations

A leader of people with 17+ years’ experience in providing high level organisational expertise including training delivery, client services, systems, policies, process & procedure and project management – ensures that business operations run efficiently enabling business to focus on what matters. With the ability to see “the bigger picture” whilst retaining an eye for detail, providing seamless results and always exceeding expectations. Sarah leads by example and recognises the contribution of other stakeholders ensuring teams perform effectively and in an environment that fosters staff retention and an empathetic culture.

Alex Park

Marketing Manager

As Marketing Manager of Miller Heiman Group in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Alex plans, develops, coordinates and executes ANZ regional marketing strategy in the form of campaigns, programs and initiatives that are aligned to the overall company strategy to generate leads via integrated online/offline marketing efforts as well as driving marketing automation. His experience of global companies – B2C and B2B – like Reader’s Digest, The Corporate Executive Board (CEB) gives him a solid foundation to deliver our promise of helping customers sell more and service better. Outside of work, Alex plays an active role in mentoring university students, volunteering in young leader’s organisation, guest speaker/MC in functions, universities or weddings. He aspires to become a marketing lecturer at a university in the distant future who can share his real life stories (good & bad) blended with concepts to give an authentic educational experience to his students.
